Indie Rock from Spring Hill, Tennessee

Band Members:
Rick Hammond

Dustin Briones

Biography:
The Reverent Cavaliers music has a fantabulous blend of indie rock sounds. The Nashville based band serves up a lyrical message that is both upbeat & encouraging. The Reverent Cavaliers consist of husband & wife, Rick & Trish Hammond, & their nephew Dustin Briones. Their songs mix hard rock with pop rock, & little Americana. Imagine an audio meld of Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz, & Jack White’s various bands. 2017’s live performances included the band’s 2nd annual show at Nashville's BB King's on July 16th. Other note-worthy shows included Nashville’s Spring Water Supper Club (“one of America’s top 10 dive bars”) where they were offered a weekly slot. The Reverent Cavaliers 2nd EP, Silver Lining was released in June 2017. The title cut charted in November at #6 on the Radio Indie Alliance network (Australia). In 2017 several of the band’s songs have charted over 25 times on radio stations around the world, & 4 songs have been added to various compilation CD’s, & licensing deals. 2018 finds the band with a #1 and four other songs in the Top 10 on Canada’s Whoozl  all at once!! Connect with them on Twitter, Facebook, & Instagram. The Reverent Cavaliers music is available online at I-Tunes, Amazon, Bandcamp, etc.

Grit, edge, and the heart of rock n roll is exactly what you get when you hear The Reverent Cavaliers . They create music that would make everyone feel good for years to come. I can safely say they break down all barriers and no matter what music you prefer or what age you are, you will get swept away with their artistry, making you forget all about your cares in the world.

Silver Lining is without a doubt a feel good song, and from their EP entitled Silver Lining. If you are having a rough day and you are starting to drag, skip the coffee, just blast this song. With the riffs that make your body move to the uplifting lyrics that remind you better times are ahead, you can’t help but feel great about yourself. The breakdowns are exactly where you need them to catch your breath before you are enrobed back into the musical intensity.

They pack yet another charismatic punch with the song Nothing Matters But Love. Which is done beautifully with the back and forth vocals of Rick and Trish Hammond, the husband and wife duo behind The Reverent Cavaliers. You can tell by how they sing, they truly believe in the lyrics they are trying to convey, not to be outdone of course with the enchanting guitar solo and breakdown. The vocal style compliments each other very well in this song. As well as I respect the fact that the spotlight was kept on their voices, since they are carrying a positive and healing message. Love really is all that matters, because with it, you can heal the world. And music is the perfect medium to convey that message.

Trish takes center stage in I Gotta Tell Ya, with accompanying vocals by Rick. Once again, they prove they are powerhouse vocalists. There is a smooth velvety vibe to this song that seduces the senses in an innocent way, and with an inspirational message in the lyrics. The guitars and drums dance in the background of the song, adding that pop when it’s needed but not distracting you from the vocals. Then turning up the intensity in all the right places to make your heart race a little, and all the while inspiring your body to move to the rhythm.

And to finish your musical experience of feeling good, is the song I Wanna Sing, which will make you want to sing. It is impressive how they inspire such positive emotions in the listener and free you of your inhibitions. It doesn’t matter if you can’t sing or you are a Grammy winning artist, I am willing to bet if you listen to this song, by the 2nd time you listen to it, you will know all the lyrics and be singing along with them. As well as if you are anything like me, you will bust out the air guitar and really rock out. This is what artistry is all about, it gives you endorphins while you listen that will help you escape from the darkness, even if only for a little while. You can’t listen to this music and not feel good. With this song especially you can’t control your desire to act out your own private concert if it be in your car or your living room. It is catchy and perky but not in a cliché fashion, and once again true to form, inspirational lyrics.

I can’t wait to get more music from The Reverent Cavaliers because I honestly believe they will do so much good in the world. They don’t try to downplay the problems of the world, they just create beautiful music that helps you escape the heaviness that is today. We need more music like this and I will happily sing their praise with each new release.
