"The genre of hard rock music has been developing and transforming for the past 50 years. The Winnipeg based 4-piece Dark Mourning has found a way to take the best of the past and mix it up into a roaring gumbo of sound that is truly all their own.
The band members have been major players in the Canadian metal scene for years. Their experiences in the well-known bands X-Engine-X and Devoid have served them well. Using these influences, DarkMourning has emerged as a new force with their Sludge/Trash/Grunge/Metal sound coining the new genre of ‘Gruntal’.
The main goal of Dark Mourning is to create an impact with their music. The rush of creating something from nothing that can truly resonate with listeners is not taken for granted. The full energy and power of each band member is poured deep into the music especially in the live setting. The crowds seem to explode with excitement and become part of the groove as they feel it deep in their bones.
Everything that Dark Mourning does is to create a memory for the fans and themselves. The blood, sweat, and damage that the band puts in has grown this fanbase rapidly. In 2016, they released a music video for “Devour," their first single. It reached MTV Europe gaining some airplay and a new audience.
The European Conquest Tour followed making stops throughout Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands spreading the Dark Mourning musical infection to a new group of metal-heads.
Now ready to start total world domination, DarkMourning is finishing the follow-up to their self titled debut and setting their sights on major shows and festivals to catapult the band to the top of the hard rock scene.
Prepare to wake up to a Dark Mourning!"
Dark Mourning is perfect for the adrenaline junkie in all of us. While they may only have 3 songs released for public listening, that is the perfect fix to get you excited about their artistry while leaving you begging for more. While they might draw their inspiration from multiple bands, I can safely say, they do not sound like anyone else.
Devour, hit me straight off with the opening crash hit by the drummer which instantly lead into a pretty wicked guitar riff. I knew that I was about to embark on an intense ride, which it did not disappoint. The vocalist Chris has this very raw and gritty vocal style which is a perfect fit for this style of music and for the lyrics. You can hear the frustration and anger. Overall this song is done in a fantastic fashion. I really enjoyed the range of the guitars and some instances where it sounded like sound effects created by the guitar itself. The way this song plays with pace, range, and variety speaks volumes of their artistic caliber. Each instrument, including vocals, gets their moment to shine. It allows you to experience each band member as an individual and hear their talent, while then bringing it back to the entire band, and you can hear how they suit each other perfectly.
Devour - Dark Mourning
Dark Mourning picks up the intensity with 11 Years, where this song is the perfect release for all the anger you might be feeling in your heart. It makes you want to head bang and slam dance at the same time. Opening with a whisper that is quite sinister, then a guitar keeping a cadence riff which adds more to the dark sound. But they don't end there, it is a perfect play back and forth between the sinister whisper to the raw vocals, of course perfectly showcased with the hard guitar rhythms and intense drum beats. They really have a solid grasp of how quality hard rock music should sound while bringing in the more brutal aspects of Metal, but keeping it where anyone who enjoys rock music, would find this extremely pleasing to listen to. And the guitar solo is just spot on and suits the mood and flow of the song, nicely.
If you are wanting a more mellow, but still intense song then you will get just that with My Shame. Where the focus is more on the vocals but still has a pretty killer guitar solo. Chris does a magnificent job bringing such empathetic lyrics to life, and allowing the listener to feel like they are experiencing this pain alongside the guys in the band. Which allows us all to feel united, even if only for a few moments. No worries for all you guitar solo lovers out there, they do not disappoint once again, with probably the strongest guitar solos out of the 3 songs. Showcasing the musical chops of Myke, creating a heart pounding rhythm while adding his own personal touch of the guitar special effects sounds.
Without a doubt Dark Mourning will leave a lasting legacy on the music scene and their artistry will be enjoyed by future generations. Big things are in the works for the band, so be sure to check out all their social media pages to keep in the loop. And if you would like to hear their music, they have it available on their website as well as Spotify.

"Bare Infinity are one of Greece's top symphonic metal acts .Following the bands split in 2013 , Bare Infinity returned in 2015 with a new international lineup and new single produced by Jacob Hansen (Amaranthe / Evergrey) and in March of 2017 released their latest album "The Butterfly Raiser" to enthusiastic reviews praising it as one of 2017s best albums ."
Symphonic Metal has to be one of my favorite genres within the Metal community, it exudes so much passion and energy while at the time tells a timeless story. Bare Infinity certainly does not fail to disappoint. If you are a fan of Nightwish, I can see this band quickly becoming one of your favorites. With each song I listen to it is like listening to a new chapter in a book you cannot put down and you eagerly await to see if it gets translated to the big screen someday. Their music is quite cinematic and deeply rooted in a fantasy / mythological world, a refreshing break from the dark work we all currently live in. For a brief moment you can escape the insanity of everything that is going on in society and just get lost in your own imagination where they will be your guide.
In Desertis - Bare Infinity featuring Max Morton
In Desertis is a perfect example of cinematic Metal, in my humble opinion. It opens with a chant that I can envision gladiators getting ready for battle and about to enter the ring to conquer another opponent or beast. The balance of male vocals and female vocals are executed perfectly in this song, which Max Morton is the featured male vocalist. There is actually an almost romantic quality about this song where not only is he battling an opponent but who knows, maybe he is battling a heart that yearns to be with a powerful woman yet there are so many obstacles between them. As you can see, their music creates a mental story while the music carries the soul to this mythical land. I really like how they incorporate a melodic chant that is the heartbeat of this particular song, and the guitars create a sense of yearning and then urgency. They truly have a knack for capturing the ears, mind, and heart all at once. It is a perfect example of genuine artistry created by true artists.
Race of Destiny is all about adrenaline and getting your heart pounding. Not only is the song done extremely well but the video only heightens it, you literally feel like you are one of those warriors and fighting against everything trying to stop you in life. By the time you finish listening to it, you have this new sense of purpose and an unstoppable energy. One thing I really respect about Bare Infinity is how each component within the song is given the proper respect its due. Ida Elena certainly holds her own with her vocal range and energy while singing, but her voice frames the guitars perfectly. And the guitars are not trying to steal the spotlight so to speak, same with the drums. Each has their own passion and power, that when they come together, it can only be described as musical genius.
Actually yet another reason why I enjoy their music very much is the fact that it does not sound like typical Metal music. Those who enjoy hard rock or rock would probably love Bare Infinity, since Ida Elena has such a soothing to the ear voice, they are the perfect gateway band to introduce Metal music to the masses. Hear Me Out, is a shining example of what I am referring to. You can really get into the music and sing along, which I found myself doing while writing this review. And that is what music is all about, allowing you to release that inner artist and emotion and form an unbreakable bond with the artist that created it. For a moment, you both are equal and no barriers. Bare Infinity shows such a diversity within each song, they not only defy the genres, but they incorporate other styles as well, such as some Celtic and Egyptian influence. Like in The Butterfly Raiser, you can hear a Celtic influence, add on the epic guitar solo and enchanting vocals which at the end of the song, Ida Elena slays the listener with that operatic octave. It is my favorite song of the album, for multiple reasons like the ones I stated above.
I am eager to hear more from this very talented band, and they are currently planning a EU tour, so that is something you won't want to miss. With artists such as Bare Infinity around, true artistry within music will never fade away.

"THE SINNERS INCORPORATED is a metal band
from Tampico Tamaulipas, Mexico. Formed in 2010 by members of several Death Metal bands (Evil Entourage, Compulsive Hater, Rotting Flesh, Dream of Nebiros) created with the sole purpose to make music with rock bases and the most hard metal with a unique style, taking the themes of excess of vices and the old phrase "sex, drugs & rock'n roll"
¡ Band directed to those who like strong metal without pretentions !
The band has released 2 demos and 1 Lp.
- “ Death & Stoned " Demo 2011
- “ Death and Stoned II " Demo 2012
- " No Rules for Rock'n Roll " Album 2015
For a time, TSI was inactive until in 2015 release the new LP "no rules for rock n roll", announce a new lineup and shared stage with Brujería.
It's time for keep rocking and after 6 years of changes, The Sinners Inc maybe will be releasing on 2017 a re-issue of "no rules for rock n roll" to then record new shit that is waiting to leave..
TSI get a Worldwide Digital Distribution by Sepulchral Silence in 2017."
The Sinners Incorporated is geared for those who love Metal but are not a fan of the pretension, and that is exactly what you get, carnal unfiltered music. One song that evokes this perfectly is Sexual Predator. It kicks off with the fast and intense guitar riffs with the hard hitting drums, followed by an opening growl from Pig Legion, the vocalist. The breakdowns of this song were perfectly timed allowing the listener to have a moment to breathe so to speak from the speed and intensity of this song. This song also showcases the range of the vocals, from the gritty harder growl, to a more melodic vocal which has a little bit of a Gene Simmons quality to it. But this song is certainly one that will get you in that moshing mood and make you seek world domination.
Sexual Predator - The Sinners Incorporated
Addicted to Sin is all about that guitar solo for me. Not saying that is the only thing I appreciate about this song, but it certainly is the highlight. The cadence of the guitars and the growling vocals are perfectly suited for the theme of the song, which shows they really understand how to create music and set the mood for the listener. And that is something I really respect about The Sinners Inc. Often times in the Death Metal genre the music can almost become too chaotic and almost sloppy sounding, which I think is why Death Metal isn't as respected as it should be. It takes a more open heart in order to appreciate this genre because it gets to the darker part of the soul. The Sinners Inc actually brings those darker realms and thoughts to light to show you there is nothing wrong with carnal desires, pleasures, or thoughts. This can only be done by those artists who are secure in their identity and artistry.
Overall the album No Rules for Rock 'n Roll has such stamina it is not for the faint of heart. Each song has its own unique quality to it, it doesn't sound like the same riffs, drum beats, or lyrics. One of my favorite songs on the album is Take A Look Into Hell, for the simple reason of, it has such a great range all packed into a 4 minute song. Once again, you have the heart pounding guitar riffs and breakdowns that almost play with your emotions and thoughts. The drum fills that keep the cadence while getting those hard hitting moments of the cymbals and the fast pace of the double bass. And the range of vocals is phenomenal with the play between growling and melodic style. This song is actually a musical storm personified, which is fantastic.
Honestly I think The Sinners Inc, have a solid grasp of their musical direction, which I know will only continue to get stronger. Also if you have been wondering if you would even like death metal, give these guys a listen and I am certain you will enjoy what they bring to the music world. And if you are interested in booking these guys or other opportunities to help them spread their music to the world, please get in touch with either Pig Legion or Richard Hater at firstname.lastname@example.org . Trust me, you will not be let down by giving them a chance.
