"Chris Violence is an American vocalist specializing, but not limited to the genre of Speed Thrash Metal. A veteran Thrasher, he has been performing and recording since 1991, most notably as the from man for the band Cessation of Life from 1995 through 2012 when he set out on his own. Releasing the "American Ripper" album in 2014, the single "Push Button Pain" in 2015, a collaboration with the band AXSAENA providing the vocals for 3 songs on their "Global Revolution" album in mid-2016 as well as releasing a 24-minute Thrash Metal Opera called "The Raven" using Edgar Allen Poe's poem of the same name in late 2016 which also includes a guitar solo from Maxxxwell Carlisle of HELLION."
If you are a fan of Thrash Metal, Chris Violence will be the one who gives you the fix you need. American Ripper has the perfect balance of breakdowns, guitar solos, and change ups with an intensity that makes you want to start moshing. I really enjoyed how they did a guitar solo but in front of it was the powerful cadence of the drums and hypnotic rhythm of the accompanying guitars. With lyrics that convey anger and angst. This song is definitely one you can let go of all your anger to, in a healthy way. There is a hypnotic quality to it that adds to the listening experience.

Fuck Shit Up is the adrenaline song of the album, as you can tell from the song title. The guitar solo was absolutely epic and really inspires that carnal side of you to start tearing everything apart and just let out all the frustration of life. If you ever felt chained and confined to be something or someone you are not, this song will get into your soul and corrupt it. That nobody has the right to silence you or you have to accept how things are in this world. You can break free from the social confines and make the world your own as well as making sure your voice is getting heard. Or if you want to just get all that extra adrenaline out, turn it up and start slamming into the walls, tables, or anything else around you. Let that inner metal head out!
Don’t let the song title of Soft Mother’s Embrace fool you, while there is this enchanting guitar solo, you first have to get through the fast and intense guitar intro. I knew from that moment I was going to really enjoy this song. I appreciate music that can make chaos seem peaceful and actually beautiful. The song also has fantastic vocal change ups and powerful riffs, as well as the occasional growl that breaks up the song perfectly and adds to that frenzied style.
I can safely say, this album keeps the blood flowing from start to finish. While you can hear glimmers of big name thrash metal influences, Chris has a vocal style all his own. His voice is strong, gritty, and it’s perfect for inspiring all metal heads to let out that inner rage. I strongly encourage everyone to not only listen to this album, but the others put out by Chris Violence, you will not be disappointed in the slightest. Also, be on the lookout for new music coming soon!
